Boise in Summer~La Petite Ville dans Les Bois

Here are some photos I have taken randomly over the past few months. Some were taken during the Saturday Farmers Market, some on regular business days, some from the Basque Wine Festival and some during a ceremony for a Gold Medalist in the current Olympics who is a Boisean.
I have also included the Boise River and Greenbelt.
Almost all of the pics were taken in the downtown area except for a few river pics taken just East of downtown in Parkcenter.

These pictures give a good idea of what summer is like in Boise, Idaho.
Enjoy.

A few skyline shots taken from Crescent Rim, both taken in early Summer.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Your little city in the woods is quite inviting.

Great people shots!

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I like how the Downtown seems to be the center of activity instead of some bland mall on the outskirts of town.

Boise looks so tidy and clean and is somewhat conformist in feeling to me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I suppose I need a city to have an eccentric, eclectic, peculiar and gritty side to it too.

I've been to Washington and Montana but never Idaho. Boise looks quite awesome. I'd never really seen it until now but I've been shown the light (:.

Thanks everyone!
Boise is a really active city; there is usually some kind of event going on downtown as well as other areas of the valley.

As someone who just spent the day on the river....
this looks like it pretty well covers Boise during the summer.
Nice pics as always Sawtooth!

There is nothing better than floating on the river, then hanging out in Ann Morrison Park, followed up by just walking around downtown. Boise during summer=win.
