the former Target building is getting a major facelift on the front to accomodate 24/7 call center and the Winners store. Bunch of the red panels have been removed. I guess they really don't want any sign of it being a former target

Keep in mind those north Perimeter retail developments are as much about East St Paul, West St Paul, St Andrews, Stonewall and points beyond into the Interlake. You aren't exactly going to build a Costco, Walmart or Home Depot is Teluon or Gimli but people there are still going to purchase those type of goods.

for any cheese gourmands out there, the Bothwell store on Provencher has three and five year old cheddar. they claim it is the only retail location you can get it. bought some but haven't tasted it yet. I should add, they have done a really nice job with that space in my opinion.

you can never have too many buildings in a city with a cow on your roof!

Something is going into the former Stitch City in the P&M Circus (by Richardson). It's been hoarded and completely gutted – good to see something go in there.

Well bit disappointed to discover what exactly is going in next to Walmart on McPhillips, it's not new stores, it's another Gauthier thing, Jim Gauthier Autoplex and Budget Rental. Personally I dislike collision centers that make you pay for car rentals when others give you courtesy cars at no extra cost. Found this article from last Nov on it. Claims it was to open this June or July but i'm not sure that is going to happen at the current rate.

The second and third floor of the Yoga Public building are “For Sale” – seems odd to be selling a portion of a building.

^^ Interesting. Fort Garry Hotel had purchased the building Yoga Public is in with the original plan being it would be an expansion of their banquet offerings. Before they could put those plans into action the banquet facilities in Fort Garry Place came on the market and Fort Garry Hotel secured the space. The expanded banquet options then landed at Fort Garry Place. Guess the plans for the old Winnipeg Club are not surprisingly gone now and it is now an asset without a need in their organizational plans.

Those for sale signs have been up there for a couple of years now.

I would assume that when he said hmm he meant HMV and they took over several other HMV locations across the country. It would be quite the coincidence if it was sunrise health foods that took over an HMV spot.

I guess that means their other locations must be doing well. That's good news for fans of physical media.

the stores are mostly stocked with toys, clothes and that kind of stuff now, the DVDs, CDs etc are taking up less space now.
