That soccer field needs some serious TLC.

For the record: that soccer field isn't in surrey. it's Cape Horn elementary school in Coquitlam on the other side of the river

I was thinking it must be in that area, but could not put it exactly on map. Does this field offer any view of Port Mann Bridge? I am always looking for some sweet views of our landmarks...

When someone living in Richmond goes abroad or in another province, do they say they're from Richmond or from vancouver?

I grew up in Richmond and have always said Vancouver. As far as I'm concerned, separate municipalities and their borders are arbitrary and when you work in one municipality, go to school in another and live in a third (as I do), then functionally it's all one big city. Local distinctions are meaningless, they're almost just big neighbourhoods.

However, I do know some people who are really firm on the fact that they're from Richmond, or Surrey or whatever. They have a different view, believing that each one is its own distinct city and they just travel to the others all the time. These people say they're from "Richmond, which is a city just south of Vancouver."

A shot of the growing Metrotown skyline I took earlier this week. You can make out the cranes for the second phase of Station Square to the left as well as Modello to the right.

Lougheed, one of Burnaby's four town centers. Also this area will soon see tall towers go up as the plan calls for twenty towers of up to 70 floors!
