BOISE 2006: A Look Back at The Four Seasons in the City Of Trees

I decided to put together this thread of random photos I have taken throughout 2006. There is a mix of downtown, the Boise River and Greenbelt, and the Boise Mountains above the city. There are a lot of pics so enjoy

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Niice, the new Bank building is nice. The core was just starting to rise last I was in Boise, are they making any Progress on Boise Tower or is it still just a big hole in the ground?

And WTF Urban outfitters in Boise!? Where the hell is that going in?

From the photos it really looks beautiful. The American west is just full of surprises. Have there ever been any posts of Billings, Casper, Boulder, etc.?

Boise looks really awesome- nice shots! I need to get down there sometime soon- I haven't been since 2001 when I was looking at going to BSU. It's a great city for sure.

I was in Boise this past September and had a very nice time.

I did wonder about the nickname, though---"City of Trees". I didn't find it to be exceptionally green or have an especially impressive tree canopy. Compared to the surrounding landscape, yes, but not compared to many other cities I've visited, no.

Awesome photo review. I am envious of your river and parks.
Boise is in the intermountain west where there are high deserts (and forests) so the nick name fits it well. I always enjoy visiting there on business and like the mountain outdoorsy feel of the city.
