Does Heritage Winnipeg have first dibs?
If so, is there a better chance of seeing a park being built instead of a "f'n rad" building?

How about a little bit of both? I mean build a building and then some sort of huge atrium greenhouse type-of-thing or something.

That, or build the new tallest somewhere else. Just my two cents though.

Two months later and still nothing.

Don't you all realize that 100 main is just a metaphor? It's the skyscraper that exists in all of our hearts.

This isn't a personal attack, but I hope you are dead wrong on this bud.

But seriously, what's the deal here?

Do any of these skyscrapers host crown corporations?

Nope.... in my heart the crown corporations were moved to York Factory... in really low grade temporary buildings and trailers... easily infiltrated by bears and other wild animals.

I'm thinking something like this for the best of the inefficient:

The new highrise buildings contain the many growing Manitoba corporations (real corporations). Winnipeg turns from a belly aching, depressing socialist city to a new mecca of capitalism, where investments are drawn to.

Like I said... my heart thinks BIG.

Sounds like 200 Saulteaux Cres. Keep treating your public sector like shit, and they'll respond like shit. But then again who needs a department like Water Stewardship and Conservation. What possible good could they do?

hey.. there is tons of water way up there.

The fact is the public sector has been treated like royalty for far too long. Paid far beyond the private sector, with a much lower level of professionalism or productivity. They are real good a wasting billions and tax payers dollars and coming back for more when the coffers are low... with little public accountability. All to willing to cut off work early without any consiquences.

Please ... I think it is the public taxpayers who have been mistreated for far too long.. and the public sector deserves the mistrust they have so rightfully earned.

In my world they wouldn't be a poison to the fabric of this city anymore... alas my heart's vision of the city will not become reality. Hopefully the public sector is still held to account and made to earn there way and where possible compete with the private sector.

Why do government workers make a $15 a hospital sandwich .. when the private sector can make the same sandwhich for less than $5. Yeah I love worthless sandwich buracracy.

Damn .. you gotta love the NDP!!!

Sounds like a bad joke...

How many government workers does it take to make a sandwich??

1 overpaid government worker makes it .. and a building full of overpaid government buracrats document its creation and study how it effects the environomet of the artic fox.
