They used to be called paleoconservatives a la Pat Buchannon. They've also been labeled "Neo-reactionaries", but now thats considered a subgroup of the broader alt-right label.

HUD Secretary

This is all you need to know about how the fascist fraud will view cities and urban policy during his term.

Ben Carson is a perfect illustration of this nightmare President's interest in cities. He has no interest whatsoever.

He used the HUD position to reward a black supporter, because you know, cities = black folks of course, so put the wacky black retired pediatric doctor in charge of things.

Also doubly sad because I know Sean Donovan, HUD director from Obama's first term, and he is an incredibly thoughtful and seasoned advocate for cities. But, Sean is whip-smart, ran the largest city housing agency in the U.S. brilliantly under Bloomberg, has tons of experience, and multiple Harvard degrees, so is obviously unqualified...

Crawford-- you are more charitable than I am with your analysis. I assumed that Don the Con nominated Ben Carson because having someone who isn't knowledgeable about housing and who is a sycophant will make it easier for Trump and his children to loot our great country.
