There used to be a layout drawing on the WAA site with the construction tenders, but it was removed when the tenders closed. It showed quite a number of retail and concession services in the central part of the building, post-security, including play areas and such. There was some additional food services and airline lounge space down the concourse a bit.
The US preclearance entrance will be after security screening, allowing a bit more access to post-security services as well as offering improved ease of use for connecting passengers. There will also be some newstand and food service offerings in the US holdrooms.
Services on the public access side (pre-security) were primarily indicated to be on the lower level meeting place / baggage claim area. I believe there was a cafe, currency exchange, postal outlet, and perhaps other retail location planned there. May have also been a coffee shop near the checkin area, can't remember for sure. Looked like most services, but not all, will be post-security.
From a passenger perspective it looked absolutely brilliant. I would have liked to have a viewing lounge, though. And I'm not sure how the corridors to Canada Customs will work out, I would have preferred a separate upper level or lower level walkway.
And the commuter concourse for ground boarded flights looked very good.
I believe a hydrant refuelling system is being installed in the new apron, which is also a good move.
