Dignity Health plans $70M expansion in Folsom

Quote:
Dignity Health is planning a $70 million expansion plan for Mercy Hospital of Folsom.
The project will include a three-story inpatient tower and new medical office building, Dignity Health’s regional president Laurie Harting said in an interview last week.

While San Francisco-based Dignity Health created buzz last week when it announced a $10 million land donation in Lincoln from the Tsakopoulos family, the Folsom project will be the first new expansion in the region, Harting said. The health system will take some time to decide what do in Lincoln.

Rancho Cordova gets application for new apartments

Quote:
Rancho Cordova has received an application for a 194-unit apartment project in the Capital Village area.
The apartments, called Bridgeway Square, would range in size from 477 to 1,225 square feet. Out of the entire complex, 122 units would be studio or one-bedroom units, while the rest would be two-bedroom units.

On an undeveloped parcel of 5.12 acres at the southwest corner of Disc Drive and Bridgeway Drive, Bridgeway Square would have four three-story buildings. Each would have interior elevators, and there would be 316 parking spaces, including 49 attached garages.

Disk Drive. I love it!

Too far from Light Rail proper to count as TOD (1.2 miles), but a nice density for Rancho Cordova. There was talk at one point of a Rancho Cordova streetcar loop up White Rock Road...hm.

That neighborhood and those subdivisions built around it were some of the best planning in suburban Sacramento. No, it's not all the high-density development we would all like. But, it puts a good chunk of housing right next to a MAJOR job center (and I bet a LOT of those people work in those offices, too). So, although it doesn't connect directly to lightrail (YET), there is a lot to be said for the live/work region that the city of Rancho Cordova and Sacramento County (to a certain extent and the predecessor to Rancho Cordova) are creating there.

Developer eyes Woodland-owned property for hotel

Quote:
Downtown Woodland could see another notable new construction project, depending on negotiations between the city and a hotel developer.
Tuesday night, the Woodland City Council will vote on whether to enter a 120-day exclusive negotiating period with Jivan B. Patel and Ramilaben J. Patel Living Trust over selling a city-owned building. The Patels, who own and operate other hotels in the region, want to redevelop an existing Budget Inn next door into an extended-stay hotel of about 90 rooms on 1021 Main St.

According to the city of Woodland, the new, so-far unbranded hotel of five stories and 68,000 square feet would include 26,000 square feet of first-floor retail/restaurant space. City community development director Ken Hiatt said to develop the site, the Patels want to buy a single-story, 3,000-square-foot building owned by the city.

Developer plans big residential project for downtown Roseville

Quote:
Now that issues with redevelopment funding have been resolved, Pacific Housing is getting serious about developing an affordable project in downtown Roseville.
Within the next few months, the group plans to submit an application for a four-story, 76-unit project called Junction Station Lofts at 120 Pacific St.
Pacific Housing president Mark Wiese said Pacific first approached the city several years ago about the project. The property was under the city’s redevelopment agency at the time, which meant the idea went dormant when the state ended redevelopment agencies in 2011.

The ownership of those properties is now with the city itself; last week, the city approved a negotiating period with Pacific for Junction Station.
Wiese said the project would have studio, one- and two-bedroom units, with a 1,000-square-foot space on the first floor. That space could be used for retail, but is more likely for a gym or some other community space for Junction Station residents, Wiese said.

I don't think I have seen this posted here. I think this is a unique mid-rise and quite big for Elk Grove.

CALIFORNIA NORTH STATE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CAMPUS
CITY OF ELK GROVE

$900 million hospital and medical center on the site of the existing Stonelake Landing Center (Elk Grove Blvd at I-5).
Paid $12.65 million for properties
Delivering in 2022 with construction beginning in 2020 (I don't think this is realistic, was suppose to start in 2019)
12-story building
250-bed hospital
475,000 square feet on an 11-acre site

Wilton Resort Casino that was supposed to break ground next month in Elk Grove (on the old ghost mall site) has been put on hold indefinitely given the current economy.
