I haven't been past in months. Have the installed any more of the curtain wall?
From what I can see thru the photos it looks to be polished stainless banding in between the glass. Am I correct?

More of the wall has gone up. The thing that's particularly interesting is that the gem facets are 3-D.

I walked by on 29 Dec. 2011, and more of the facade had risen. It looks amazing.

That's what I was referring to. The undulating, three-dimensional affect of the facade is amazing.

The cladding is a masterpiece, really par excellence. Shame it isnt't that tall, the skyline effect will be practically zero.

So far Extell hasn't disappointed in NYC. Although this is a fairly small project, it's much better than anything else that's going on in the city (besides the usual). Extell really deserves a round of applause. Lets hope they keep it up with 225 West 57th.

That cladding is very cool . . . it's a shame though that this building is buried in the Midtown jungle.

Guys let's hand it to SOM. It's almost a two steps forward one step back situation with them. They dish out amazing buildings like this, and then trash that we've a million times.

Boh, after all, people shouldn't worry too much about the height all the time though, especially in that place whose overall skyline is already far beyond massive. This simply looks like a great facade even in picture, adding something quite neat to the streetscape right around that spot. That aspect is even more important than any skyline impact to me. Great looking building.

The fantastic quality of the tower cladding really makes the podium facade seem underwhelming.

It's too bad that this one is hidden mid-block, as opposed to being on one of the wider avenues to be showcased. It will be a hidden "gem"....

This is the best facade system I have seen in a while. I agree... ...This tower should have been a "stand out" due to its facade.
