Sweet home Birmingham,AL

About a month ago, I took a trip to Birmingham,AL. It's truly an amazing city and lovely Southern gem. I hope ya'll enjoy.

A-W-E-S-O-M-E photos of my old home (03-06). you got around and a nice mix of the new infill and restorations and grit. and some buildings i don't recognize.

That's located in the North Birmingham neighborhood at the corner of 19th St N. and 25th Ave Ct N. It's right off of I-65 at the Finley Blvd exit.

Nice shots of an underrated town. I'd love it if Nashville had even half the historic building stock that The Ham does.

People tend to dismiss Birmingham without even knowing it. One of my favorite underrated cities! Great photos!

Outstanding!

I think people are truly surprised when they visit if they've never been before. We certainly have an image problem (both from within and from without) that I'm not sure we'll ever shake.

I really like photos of Sloss Furnace and downtown from Vulcan Park. Seems like a substantial downtown.

it's strange to see those largish pre-war commercial buildings not surrounded by much taller 70s/80s pomo like most cities that also have those sized pre-war commercial buildings, like the city was frozen in time.
