Recent Atlanta Construction Pics

Hello Peeps,

Since I moved to Portland, I've just been reading for over 3 years, and haven't had the opportunity to be in Atlanta until Memorial Day.

Here are some construction pics that I took... I have more new Atlanta pics if you would like

To me seems like they are just trying to portray a picture of construction underway. I have a feeling this is our next Eviva

Agreed - thanks. Really like Hanover. The new hotel on 14th looks a bit harsh - hopefully the final look will soften the huge bare wall facing the sidewalk.

Recent Atlanta Construction and Urban Design Pics

Glad you liked the pics.

I finally finished downloading and organizing the pics. There are three albums now, Downtown Atl, Midtown Atl and Other Atl which has a few pics of the airport, East Atlanta, Westview Cemetery and Mausoleum and Sandy Springs.

Feel free to post as you like...

It was during that huge Memorial Weekend storm, so was somewhat challenging, haha.

Atlanta is looking great!

The Nextran trucking center has been demolished to make way for Modera Reynoldstown.

The condo project next door now has new concrete and rebar coming out of the ground.

IMO, both are amazing additions to both the beltline and memorial drive. Modera alone is 320 unit’s and 30k square feet of retail.

I’m hoping we see more condo projects like this and the airline street project. They’re not cheap, but they increase be supply of condos in the area which is HUGE. Atlanta needs more healthy competition for quality of condo units, throughout the city.

I’d like to see another mixed use or Modera-esque project (preferably condos and offices) redevelop the office and retail space at the east section of north ave and glen iris, next to AMLI Ponce park. All the strips along Ponce are prime for redevelopment too, I just think that area will be less inviting for people for years to come due to the big box development adjacent the beltline, so may as well make the best experience in places that can be really nice.

Have the two Downtown projects you were hinting at a month or so ago been announced yet? Is that what you're suggesting here? The two Midtown towers were announced almost immediately, so I trust your sources.

They need to use some of that blue paint on the west facade. The bulk and massive amount of bare white surface on that side just doesn't look good in my opinion. I'm not saying paint it all blue, but they should have done something.

The Gulch project is happening with or without Amazon, but I suspect the project(s) I know about will not be announced until the Amazon selection.
