This was an Art project I did 2 years ago. It looks like a Pile of trash, but when light hits it from the right angle you could see an outline of the pre-911 skyline of new york. It went to an art show locally but fell apart slightly, especially the right side skyline (trump tower is like the only thing left). When you look closely st it you can see articles of things like war, global warming, something about the end of the world, religion, famine, AIDS, etc. Also note that what is supposed to be the statue of liberty is a toy soldier.

Some tips to make the SU output look better:
Turn off profiles. (view>edges>profiles) Export as PNG, so it wont blur.

And finally, I think you should post them in the Google Sketchup forum.

Some weird combination of maps, architecture and girls in tankinis. I dunno. I was board while I sketched these. These places don't exist.

hand drawn cities, ink on paper and canvas

the first drawing is the city of Edenside, population 2 million, on canvas (70X70 approx)

detail of Edenside

this is the city of Empire Forks (14' by 17') ink on paper scale 1:20 000

Urban design has been my lifelong passion.

I have several other similar maps, many of them rendered in colour ink.

Austin55, that New York skyline silhouette is seriously cool. Very creative.

I've always drawn cityscapes but never actual city scenes, so heres my first shot on that, I just started sketching from a Ground Zero picture and ended up with this, what do you guys think?
