Juarez Chih. Mexico & Chihuahua Chih. Mexico

I just got back from visiting family in Mexico. It was a good time. There are two cities in these photos: Juarez (first 10), & and Chihuahua. Two desert pictures distinguish the two.

La Violencia was a major blow to the tourist industry in Juarez. Many clubs and bars went out of business.

Pancho Villa is a national hero from the Mexican Revolution. In the State of Chihuahua, where he is from, and in which Juarez is in, he's virtually a god.

On the way to the state Capital- Chihuahua, you'll see the Samalayuca Dune Fields. Here they filmed portions of the 80's movie, "Dune." I took these photos at a rest area. The area where it looks the coolest was closed off from where I was.

Loves this. I've only been to El Paso, and my friends there would not let me even think about going across the border, but it looks like a pleasant city.

Very rare to see any pics of Ciudad Juarez on here... I've heard things have slowly gotten better.

Never been to Chihuahua, but I've always loved Juarez. Granted I knew it when it was less dangerous. Cool pics.

Nice to see some Mexican cities on here! Ciudad Juarez has some nice buildings; it's a shame that those people had to go through such devastating violence.

Nice photos and good use of the hdr. Hopefully the violence in Juarez will subside enough to where tourism can thrive there again.

Yeah, about the HDR. I really think I overdid it, but then again, it was my first time using it. I think it works great with certain pictures, then it falls flat on others.

Great shots. Would love to see more.
Aren't the Mormon colonies that Romney is associated with in Chihuahua? Are they a presence there at all, or do they stick to themselves?

Very nice tour. At first I found the editing style a bit over the top, but in the end I really enjoyed the punchy look. Awesome set

Nice set Xing, I think the HDR was well-used. These have an almost Hopper-esque sense of time and place largely due to the moody HDR. What are you using for a camera and kits?
