Add the year they've been doing demolition of the building on site and it comes to a 5 year build time for a 35 story building. Pretty impressive.

If one assumes they've been underway since March 2013. Closer to 4 years.

I don't think they can build fast enough to keep up with demand.

A bit of regret - the mural is being lost to history...

I walked by the site this past Monday. That steel structure looks to be a series on ramps. Anyone know what is going on?

Yup I was in Houston from the 19th until the 26th.

I'd have to say they've locked down the design; those renders don't look any different.

Let's see there are dozens upon dozens of parking lots and yet Houston keeps tearing down old buildings. That makes about zero sense.

Location, location, location.

That ramp superstructure's more substantial than I thought it would be.

Lose 18 floors, gain 35. That's life in the big city.

Chase's Sky Lobby would be an excellent place to watch the implosion. It would also be an interesting perspective looking down at an implosion

The older buildings already have access to the tunnel systems below. The tunnels run under downtown Houston and contain underground streets full of retail and restaurants and connections to the parking garages. Class A office space in downtown Houston needs tunnel connections.

Nice but familiar renders.

Do they have a date set for the implosion?
