NW Trek with mSEA

How about a new thread? I was fortunate to get around to a couple of places in Washington State last year. I hope that this year 2015 will allow me to get around to more of Washington and other areas of the PNW.

Let's begin with highlights of the Veteran's Day drive to Mt. Vernon in the Skagit Valley which is north of Everett (which is north of Seattle). The day was bright and beautiful.

A visit is not complete without the county court house and canon.

And like that, the drive-thu ended and it was time to go. But I'm heading back down to Everett.

Amazing. The flora in that region is so beautiful. I wouldn't mind a house somewhere in the country side. Not many places I can say that for, but the country side of that region is just stunning.

This is nice. That streetscape. Small town feel with a lot of small businesses that show of the culture. Some of the best shops are usually in little areas such as this. From antiques, to certain niche shops.

There's absolutely no comparing the natural wonder and beauty between California and the Pacific Northwest, but all that matters is this:

West Coast is best coast.

Absolutely beautiful.

What a nice tour! Thanks for sharing, mSeattle.

The views of Mt. Baker in the background you captured are amazing, like the giant western redcedar, just incredible.

Mt Vernon is very nice. It looks a very comfortable and pleasant town. I like its streets. It looks quiet.

All that area, the Pacific Northwest, is really pretty.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

As promised, photos from the return leg of the trip which included checking out part of downtown Everett and a nearby neighborhood. You can see a previous thread I did on Everett here:

I talked a friend into going for a day trip up to Bellingham Washington on New Years Day 2015.
This updates my collection of pictures from the film ones I took back in the day shown in this SSP thread
Bellingham, WA -->> College Daze http://www.skyscraperpage.com/forum/...d.php?t=180384.

We passed through the Skagit Valley so I'll skip most of those scenes. Had a longer point-and-click zoom and faster burst this time.
Looking east on I-5 just north of Everett.

Looks like a nice campus. Very cool to have a forested hill as a backdrop.

Today is August 23rd. These pictures are from January 1st.
It's off-season for the continuation of the Bellingham trip, but I'll try picking this thread back up...
My friend and I did go into downtown. Walked around for a bit, got a bite to eat, then drove around before heading back south.
Leaving town, we took the route along the water overlooking Bellingham Bay, on to the historic Fairhaven District and
Chuckanuck Drive - part of the old waterside route between the Skagit Valley and Canada
