What did you think of Prague? I've only been once, in 06 during the WC (which was held in nearby Germany, of course). I enjoyed my visit but need to go again!

I really enjoy Prague, It is probably my favorite city in Europe if not the world that I have had the opportunity to visit. Then again I love the bohemian architecture, beer and old European Taverns or pubs that seem a million miles away from what I'm use to living in Western Canada.

^ mm, pictures still always fail in justice to my crappy lazy experience. Paris is impossible to take in pictures...

I love the way they use colors to their historic fabric. Many gorgeous historic Euro districts do that, including some Italian. That's something we don't really have over here.

I must say, despite the use of a little red brick here and there, it's impossible over here when it comes to historic things. We've got far too many strictly standardized and often more or less decorated limestone buildings that make up our most original fabric, like in strict Bordeaux. That's an essential part of the overall European diversity, I guess.

I'm certainly advertising showy colors to either more humble or more modern buildings, however.
