So many cool projects on this page. I'd love to live in that Farmhouse, worth leaving the city for.

Remai Modern opened to the public last weekend in Saskatoon. The building is spectacular.

The rm and that pool are amazing. Question about the Remai Modern signage though. Why did the put rRemai mModern. it seems redundent. People like most art Gallery's and Museums will call it by it's initials, I don't see a need to force that in the sign.

Hah. The extra lowercase "r" and "m" in the name actually caused quite a stir locally when the logo first appeared. It's just the museum's branding. There's an esoteric explanation out there from the NYC firm that designed it explaining what it all means, but I've forgotten/don't care. A lot of people HATE the branding, but it's grown on me.

I don't think they're trying to push the use of the "RM" acronym at all. Around here it's always "Remai Modern", "the Remai", or "Remai Art Gallery".

For those wondering, Remai is pronounced "RAY-mee".

HAMILTON | 7-9-11 Brock Street Urban Towns | Thier + Curran Architects Inc. | 2018

The project took a vacant former machine and tool shop circa 1910, and converted it into three residential loft-style townhouses.

This is a super cool project.

I can picture countless old industrial shops and garages in Saskatoon being converted into something along these lines.

The building looks nice, not so sure about the plaza, seems rather stark.

860 seats in the main theatre. Interior looks very slick on their website.
