So much for the hype of a Sundin-Naslund-Demitra line.
Anyone thinking panic button yet? Or should we wait for Gillis to throw another $10M contract offer at a near-retired guy... Jagr perhaps?

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The Vancouver Canucks are now officially looking for a new captain. Markus Naslund is heading to the Big Apple, signing a two-year, $8 million deal with the New York Rangers.
It's not really a surprise, as Naslund had already sold his Vancouver home. The 5-time all-star says he felt the Rangers are on the right track to becoming a Stanley Cup contender.
The 34-year-old unrestricted free agent forward had 55 points (25 goals and 30 assists) in 82 games with the Canucks last season. He scored 346 goals in his 12 seasons with Vancouver.
Naslund was drafted by Pittsburgh with the 16th overall pick in 1991. He has 823 points (371-452) in 1,035 career games with the Canucks and Penguins.
