Looks like they're just about at the same height!

They're cutting notches along the perimeter of the floors, presumably in preparation for installation of the cladding.

Salesforce & 181 Fremont 007/09/16

A view at sunset of the 2 major construction sites south of Market Street. I will miss the colored lights of the Millennium Tower in a few weeks when the Salesforce building blocks my view from the Civic Center. I have noticed a trend in the last year of more lights with color on high-rises.

I love this tower! Congrats San Francisco! I get out there maybe once a year, for pleasure. I can't wait to check out this tower the next time I'm in town.

The steel is keeping pace with the rising core pretty well.
Hurry up and top it off!
Your skyline is looking quite densely impressive!

That's because the core is the bottleneck.

I am thinking that the steel topping out is going to be in December. If they go really fast, and the shrinking floor plates decrease construction time, then perhaps in late November.

At the rate they're currently going, the concrete core will top out on 11/15/2016.

the grand ascension....

well, putting some things together, the bog-down is sorta typical in slip-form-construction.
yet, you may wish to factor in the idea that the core is reduced to almost half at some point in "the ascension".

Nice that not only NY and Miami build new skyscrapers in the USA. Looking so much forward to see this completed!
