i dearly miss living at marina city. state street and the river, the absolute best location to live in all of chicago. everything is so close.

and i really, really, REALLY miss being able to take the elevator to the basement and go kayaking whenever i wanted. since i've moved in with my fiance, i've only been kayaking out on the river twice. back when i was living in marina city i was out on the river at least once a week, often more than that.

god i miss marina city

For some reason, this YouTube was recommended to me.....

It's an absolutely kick ass video documenting the construction of these towers. It's only 19-20 min too, just the right amount. Great shots of other parts of the city in the process as well.
