An building permit has been submitted for a 3-storey hotel/motel use new building at 1232 BEDFORD HIGHWAY. This is between Fourth and Meadowbrook in Old Bedford.

Is that the old Atlantic Gardens site for this new hotel/motel?

^Yes and it's directly across from their current location at #1239. There is an approved plan for two residential buildings south of Fourth Street and the new Propeller across the street.

Given that it's an elevated lot, there should be some really nice views of the Bedford Basin from there!

So that's why Bedford Draperies closed. They're right next to old Atlantic Gardens location. But why a motel?
