I stopped in to Harbour Isle this afternoon. It appears there are people living in the Seapoint condo tower.

Looks nice! Hopefully the area grows up around it as they continue to add units.

It's good to see a new rental building come on stream. I've been told that folks have started moving into the Campden at Harbour Isle.

According to the PID application data it appears this will be on the lot to the south of the Starbucks/Pita Pit building along Windmill Rd. Project value estimate is $1.6m. The PID encompases the land south to McDonalds and west to Marketplace Drive. Based on the dollar value of the project I couldn't guess wheter this means the entire avaliable space along Windmill Rd. will be developed or simply a smaller stand alone building to house Popeyes. Anyone care to guess? It would be nice to see this lot along Windmill filled-in. And building out this lot would seem to fit with speculation last year that this lot would be built coincident with the next Harbour Isle tower this year on Marketplace Drive next to The Hazelton.

I noticed near here, Irving had a crawler crane near the shore. I was wondering if they are making a pier for their Burnside fabrication facility to send materials by barge to the main shipyard. That site has been in the news for expansion and I believe they have water access.

I was wondering too. I had thought perhaps it was just a paving project but they seem to be digging deeper than would be necessary for that.

All sorts of new and strange markings on Marketplace Drive at Harbour Isle. Pointing to both the east and west sides of the street.

I think blue markings are for water pipes and green are for gas lines.

There has been some activity on the Popeyes site these last couple of days...is the sweet taste of Louisiana fried chicken not too far off?

A temporary electrical mast went up on Market Place Drive a week or so ago and then a toilet/trailer appeared. Initially I thought perhaps the Wright's Cove transit station/shelter was about to be built but now I'm not sure. Perhaps this is simply a place for transit drivers to relieve themselves? I thought that the transit station/shelter was to be built by now.

^I scanned through the Transit budget for 24/25 and there is no mention of new terminal construction besides the Mill Cove Ferry. It looks like the focus is on BRT, and ferry for the next while which leaves projects like this on hold since it won't be serviced by either.

Thank you for this info! It's not uncommon these days to see a dozen or more people standing alongside the west side of Market Place Drive waiting for a bus. It's too bad that they can't have any shelter provided.
