New York City by Minato

After Boston and a long 4 hours trip in train, welcome to New York City.
This thread is going to be massive and I will maybe divide it in several thread depending the number of comments and the number of photos I will post.

Arriving in New York City from the North.
1. Welcome in the Bronx

2. High-rises in the back are in Harlem

3. Inside Randalls and Wards Islands

4. We cross the East River (Hell Gate) to the Queens

5. The Queens, you can see a Greek Orthodox Church (Saint Markella).

Churches amongst skyscrapers always look so out of place. They're trying to give a sense of grandeur and vertical might yet look like ants amongst giants.

^^ Photobucket doesn't like some web browsers. I get the same thing when I use Opera for example. But when I use other browsers the pictures display normally.

Anyway, nice to see the additional images. Midtown looks like it has a lot of density!

My Mom had a apartment in 714 Broadway on the 8th floor. It was awesome to live there. Many fond memories there.

Best Kmart ever on E8th and picking up dates at the NYU bookstore.

I hate how this skyscraper totally blocked one of the most iconic views of the Empire State Building, welcome to New York I guess. : /
