Yes, I used to just get fries from Golden Fish and Chips at Westcliffe.

I friggin hate those KFC and Harvey's fries. McDonald's fries is unbeatable for a fast food chain. Remember the Dino size fries? I'm ashamed to say I was a big fan haha. It's basically an extra large coke cup filled with fries.

It's funny I didn't even know they had a Westcliffe location and I live fairly close to that location. Someone I work with told me about the Upper Gage location so I was going there. I haven't been for awhile. Might be an option for dinner either tonight or tomorrow now that I have it in my mind.

They also have a location in Dundas. Not sure exactly where in Dundas.

There is also a Fish and Chip place on Upper Wentworth at Brucedale that is supposed to be pretty good. They have a wing place they own right next door. It's called 5 alarm wings or something like that.

I say 90% of the time people order and take out at the Westcliffe location. There's probably 5 tables and rarely do I see people eating at it.

A lot of people I know praise the Fish and Chips place on Parkdale but I've never been, so I don't know. I should probably go, seeing as its a 5 minute walk away.

Rolly Rockets

Tried it for Lunch. Staff were very friendly and the the sliders were fresh and tasty. This is a definate return. The set-up is perfect for a crew get-together.
The only issue is parking.

I find if you're going to Rolly's, the city lot on the south side of King a hair east of Locke usually has some space... but of course finding a spot along Locke's kind of nice too.

I'm going to try One Duke's breakfast in the next couple weeks.. I've heard it's good. and Incognito has some Friday specials on I think I'll try too

I really have to try some of these other places too, but I had a good experience - my cousin's condo is right by Connaught Fish n Chips and they had a good $4 special. Batter was a wee bit thick, but the portions were plentiful and the prices very, very good for everything.

I ended up speaking with someone from Toronto who comes here every time she's in the city

August 8 has a Burlington location now. I was there on Friday, it was nice. Clean, sleek and modern.

I heard the Hamilton's August 8 got renovated.

Cottage Living is apparently done. Signage suggests that it has been newly christened 4 Buck$ Saloon. I'm sure it's every bit as charming as the name suggests.

The only surprise is that they lasted that long. Bad design, lame, inconsistent themeing, so-so food, and the worst beer selection in the city.

More of the "grocery store" variety of cuisine, but the S&S Supermarket just south of Main on Locke closed down.

While the sign indicated "lease disagreements" or something of the sort to be sorted out, I looked in the window and it's just bare walls and the floor. I don't think it's reopening anytime soon.

yeah. they are good donuts, even if you have to push past the neon glare and through a cloud of smoke to get there at the downtown one.

or just go north to the other location. they've always been good.
