They should have been definitely aware before their purchase about a rapid transit corridor. Besides I don't think there will be many buses Aside from probably the 77, the 176 and perhaps an extension of route 99 to Barrhaven (though unlikely the 95 or the 94)
By looking at the maps, the houses are built too close to Strandherd between Claridge and Woodroffe to built a separate transit road beside Strandherd (well the space is much smaller then between the 417 and the Dumaurier area near Pinecrest.

Essentially, if they want bus roadway only they would have to use Chapman Mills until the future intersection with Strandherd on the north side of the wood area north of Cresthaven. From there until the Strandherd Bridge, there might be more then enough space to put a separated busway, although Strandherd was planned to be six-lanes right, so probably two of those lanes are for the BRT corridor just like on the bridge. After that I think east of River Road it will be a separate busway from Earl Armstrong heading east until past Limeback then curving north all the way to Leitrim Park And Ride and connection to a future extension of the O-Train there.
