heading to San Antonio

Hello there, San Antonio folks.

I'm heading to San Antonio this week, and I am trying to do my home work on the city. Anybody have a must-see list of things that a forumer should be doing while they are in town?

What do you like? SA is pretty spread out so what you like in one area, might not be in another. The usual must-sees are the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and the missions. I recommend wandering down the Riverwalk to King William/Southtown or to the museum reach, there's always things going on in those areas. Anything else, just ask

Hemisfair Redevelopment one of the biggest projects in S.A. history. Hopefully a new skyline will emerge with this project.

Hey Paul, Do you have a link for more info on Hemisfair Redevelopment? It's a subject I'm very interested in and like others think it has a ton of potential. Just thinking of the possibilities is getting me excited. Then again this is San Antonio ha. But it would be great to have something like Pearl on that side of Downtown. Of course on a much larger scale.

The Hemisfair development project is HUGE! I'd love to see a new high-rise or two. Seeing all the new development around town is exciting.

Paul, thanks for the wonderful update on San Antonio! Great to see museum reach going strong and the continued renaissance of the Pearl and Broadway areas. Very exciting photos of this era of SA! Can't wait for the Tobin Center. It's really getting all knit together beautifully.

That Tobin Center looks pretty flippin rad! Has it already been approved? Sorry if its a tiring question as I haven't been up to date with San Antonio's development.

Construction has already begun. It should be finished in 2014
