Almost there. West 42nd street is becoming a nice mish-mash of random residentials. None of them go together, but then again somehow they do.

Hey NYguy, I'm adding your photo form the Times thread because it shows how this building hass an effect on the west side skyline, being so close to the water and all. It seems to be the biggest thing on 42nd Street west of the Orion.

Yeah, I noticed that also. There will be a cluster of buildings on the westside, giving it the look of the towers on the eastside that stretch nearly into the river. (They do if you count Roosevelt Island).

Actually it looks like about 578, considering the Orion is 604.

That's because this tower is on the river. Those other towers in the background are nowhere near as close to the river as they appear to be.

One River Place is 403 feet, so I guess this looks to scale at 478 across the street. It sure looks taller though.

Count me among those who believe this building is taller than original planned.
I would say more like a tad over 500ft rather than 478ft. Riverbank West is 450ft and this building looks more than slightly taller.
