Chicago Architecture Open House

I took a trip to Chicago from Phoenix to check out the Chicago Architecture Foundation's Open House. 200 sites across the city were open to the public. This is my 2nd Open House. This time I stayed down near the Hancock Tower and walked around the city on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The weather was a challenge on Saturday. The rain was ridiculous. I'm an amateur photographer with a Nikon D3400 (entry level) camera with the 18-55mm lens and the 50-300mm lens.

From 2650 N Riverside - we got stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes when coming down this building. The elevator got stuck a few feet below the lobby floor. It was packed with people and they had to pry the doors open so we could climb out.

Nice opportunity to get some different viewpoints towards the skyline and city. If you have more photos of these days, please post them. Thanks!

Nice set of photos. I like it cloudy for some of the shots, but it did rain a lot on that Saturday, a record for October. Talk about bad luck as it had not rained for almost the entire month of September.

Chicago has such a coherent waterfront (lakefront and riverfront), something sorely lacking in Toronto.

Sick shots. You've got a keen eye for composition. Keep shooting!
