The weather in Moncton was warmer today!

17C with no wind and glorious sunshine

It was indeed a fabulous day for the provincial high school championship football game in Moncton. There were over 2,000 people in the stands at Rocky Stone Field, all in shirtsleeves or light sweaters or vests. Short pants also were in evidence.

Unfortunately the hometown Moncton Bernice MacNaughton High School Highlanders lost to the Fredericton High School Black Cats by a score of 15-14. Better luck next year guys.

Between the CFL, CIS football at Mount Allison and the local high school league, this has been an incredible year for football in Moncton/Sackville.

Calgary's got maybe 2 more days of semi-decent weather left, and then it's going to become very southern Manitoba like. Snow and highs in the negatives.

Ah well, we went nearly 9 months above freezing. That was certainly a nice mild stretch.

There is now about a cm of snow on the ground. This is the earliest we've had this much snow in several years.

12C, sunny and no wind! Gorgeous!

BTW-This is a no wind day.

I hope you don't take it too seriously... anything below 10km/h is unnoticeable.

Ottawa's October was our November and our November is, so far, an October.

The snow we got yesterday is now slush. It's still snowing but I doubt it will accumulate much.

Tonight we'll have ice on everything!

Calgary

Sunny, calm-ish and 7.

It is hard to believe that ol' man winter will be tearing it up tonight.

What an unbelievable fall!

Nice out lately in New Scotland. Highs near or above 10C and mostly sunny.

Temperatures starting to drop to normals for late Fall this week and there is snow predicted in the 14-day forecast but given the unreliability of predicting 1 day in the future in this region 14 days out is just guess-work.

The ice turned to slush, which turned to puddles. Now the puddles are ice!!

0 with a wind chill of -1, cloudy.

Calgary has a winter storm warning in effect. We're supposed to get hammered over the next several days.

I guess the fun ride is officially over. Fortunately all of this snow is supposed to hit the mountains first - bring on skiing!!

According to Environment Canada it only went to 3 degrees today in St. John's but it felt a good bit warmer then that but it was very sunny and not windy so maybe that's why it felt warmer.

Wind warning issued for Van tonight
...and possible below freezing lows this weekend have the city in a panic! Or at least that's what the local news would have you believe

11C and mix of sun and clouds yesterday...

10C and sunny today!

After a cold start, November's avg temperature is now above normal.

Calgary... that's one hell of a forecast! Nothing warmer than -10C this week? Really! I thought they were the sunniest city in Canada.
