That was awesome. We don't see much St. John's on here, other than from HIMS at times. This is a great thread, I love how you went out and captured all the seasons and environments of a Canadian city as well as your tilted angle shots. Lots of great colour, too!

St John's is my favorite city in Canada because of the weather (I love cold)

According to the weather office St John's is

- one of the snowiest cities in canada
- one of the windiest
- one of the foggiest
- one of the rainiest
- one of the coldest city during summer

Lots of that is correct, but temperature-wise, it's one of the mildest cities in the country.

I forgot my winter jacket in Calgary last year, and survived alright without it.

Have you been here during one of your winter trips around the world? I love snow, and from January to March last year this was the place to be for that.

Yes I know that St John's is one of the mildest cities in winter (although still pleasantly cold for me)

I have been wanting to visit St John's for a very long time, however It's not easy on a round the world ticket due to the limited number of direct flights to other Canadian cities apart from Toronto

What are the job opportunities like in St John's especially for temp work?

Oh sorry, I misread your last thing there as winter, rather than summer.

I haven't even looked for work here, but I think the local economy is quite strong.

And yeah, I know all about the flights here. In the summer, it's no problem to get a direct flight from Calgary any day, but there are none in the winter.
Last Christmas I had to go through Winnipeg and Toronto to get back here from Alberta.
There are flights from Newark though (I believe it was Continental).

What camera do you use by the way?

I'm using a Canon Rebel Xsi (450D outside North America), and I do plan on putting some miles on it. I'd like to get out more at night this year, but I'm always nervous going down to George St. with my camera. I've been slacking off the last few weeks, so I should really get shooting again before I get really bogged down with school.
