It's great to see the steel finally rising. I was working in Suzhou during the spring and summer and I'd often pass the site wondering when it was going to get out of the hole. Looks like its finally happened.

With GOTO and the weird twisty coin-shaped building, Suzhou is going to have a pretty unique skyline soon.

This one's been on the boards for awhile. Good thing to see it moving forward. When completed it will have the unique claim to being the world's largest pair of pants.

Why the hell are we talking about this? You guys act so surprised, this happens on 60% of foreign building renderings. Now lets get back to topic. As in now.

I've always liked this one. It's so bold and massive.

Because the real background is rather bleak.

While I'm not a fan of this Chinese idea of "supertalls in a park", this is yet another nice piece of architecture.

It would be nicer if it was more a part of the city rather than a vertical extension of a mall. But maybe that's the future of tall in China, gated Supertalls?

seconded. I find it extremely irritating. There is no cohesion with urban pedestrian traffic at all.
