Some pics from today. Glad they are playing catch up with the steel at the top. This thing is a monster already.

I hated when the Port Authority announced a couple months ago that the building had reached half its final height (which was only based on arbitrary floor numbering, not actual HEIGHT in feet). But now that the steel has reached 693 feet tall, the building has finally surpassed its halfway mark (1,368/2 = 684).

Well since Tower 1 WTC is 693 Feet 4 Inches tall, It has allready surpassed The HSBC building wich is 688 Feet tall. So as stands now Tower1 is the 10th tallest building in Lower Manhattan.

Yes, I know... But because it just surpassed it today, I thought I'd add it. Perhaps this will satisfy everyone.

such an awesome tribute to the original towers, that they made the height from the ground to the roor the same as the original 1 wtc. Still holding out hope they add the extra 62 or sixty something feet they would need to do the same for the new wtc 2.

Nice update! This photo shows that the floor they were delayed at for so long during the snowy weather was also the floor where the vertical and angled beams conjoin. Coincidence?
