I always find it interesting to see people's different opinions on architecture - i have never liked Commerzbank in Frankfurt. I know a lot of people love it and think it is a great piece of Fosters work but I just don't like it.

Well, it doesn't have to be like the Commerzbank Tower, but something nice and original that can be a signature tower for this city. The closest thing we got is the Canwest Tower.

Something with a slanted roof would look spiffy.

Anything other than another big flat roof would be great - stepped, slant, round, spire, big ass antenna, crown...anything!

I think that something like "Le 1000 de la Gauchetière" in Montreal would look great in Winnipeg...

Really? It's one of the best in Canada. Montréal is probably the only Canadian city that does modern architecture right. (Though they aren't without their architectural abortions..)

Lets look at some buildings in Brisbane, Queesland for some inspiration. These are buildings that I found interesting enough to bookmark.

Aurora is just over 200m tall, and would look great along the river. Imagine a marina area coming out of the base. It would definitely stand out - and be one of the tallest buildings in the country. This is one of my favourite residential buildings in the world.

Felix Tower - see Aurora.

Vision - make it about 100m shorter and it might fit in well in P&M. Maybe make it about 15m taller than CWP and add a spire that follows the curve of the building? LED lights could light it up, pulsing along the curved spine of the tower.
