Definitely a fun thread! Thanks, AXS, for starting it.

When I saw that mysterious staircase in that New Mexico chapel, I wondered if someone posted the twin stone spirals on either side of the altar of L'eglise St.-Etienne du Mond in Paris? Having become a super "stair nerd", after looking at 13 pages, I discovered none was posted.

I have no photo which I could post, since the last time I was in Paris was long before digital cameras were invented. Plus, I still haven't gotten around to learning how to upload pics. AAAGGGHH!!!



For those who don't know French, Eglise means church.
