Does anyone who lives near Hudson Yards able to take a pic of 30 HY from this angle? When this was first being built, I always felt this angle best showed off the sheer massive size and it's been a while since I've seen anything similar since the early days of this!

^ Nice pic and it looks like the crane was jumped a bit-the way this one is rising this could be topped by mid March or early April if the weather stays mild..

It's a fatty, but that crown will help a lot.

Pics by me. Taken today.

30 HY C.Estevez by Christopher Estevez, on Flickr

Was trying to get artsy with the next one. Essentially, a window or peep-hole into the future. From the old, decaying, and whorish section of the city past (foreground), the future, modern, sleek, and ultra-pc future is being born (background). My interpretation of my shot. Its not a peep-hole like in the 80’s, but a peep-hole into the future of NYC.

Some good news folks!!! There are only 11 floors above the setback Terrace level (80-89) not including 3 mechanical floors and they are on floor 89 now which is the highest occupied floor. So the floors are effectively topped out. The rest of the building is the angled crown so this tower now stands at a confirmed 1,250 feet as we speak.

I have my eyes on it daily. I'm guessing the overhang will come later due to the nature of construction, but no signs of it yet.

I always guessed it would come at the end; it would only be a nuisance for the construction of the top floors.

I love baby pictures (proud mama at right) ......

Seriously: Unless I'm quite wrong, this particular angle shows where the HY area continues to rise meets with where the area at/around 5th Avenue is set to go seriously vertical....

Yeah, 5th Ave already feels different around the ESB with the construction going on there.

I should've elaborated that while HY and he ESB vicinity don't exactly abut (v. sup. N.C. Ala photo #3), that Jersey shot is gonna make those two burgeoning areas look like one continuous southward expansion of the Great MidTown Forest.

But y'all prolly figuured that out...
