Hmm, latest updates suggest otherwise. Anyway, if it is under construction then the original thread in the proposed section should have been moved here instead of making a new thread.
Also skytower you're missing 460m and 330m from the list

I just assume its u/c because skytower had it here that is was under construction. I was very surprised considering I heard they were having trouble finding tenants. He might be wrong?

A mod started a thread yesterday at AAS saying it is now U/C. I saw the thread on SSC in the prop section and just selected the highlights.

I used the search facility for Pentominium here yesterday and it gave me zero results! Sorry, didn't know there was a prop thread for it....must have missed it. When I get confirmation work is underway, I'll merge the 2 together.

At this stage if any machinery shows up on site it should be for some soil (sand) test. They probably won't start digging until around new years

Great info and a great building, but isn't the set deffinition of the start of construction here at SSP caisson/foundation work? If so, judging by the picture posted above in the first post of the site, this is still a long way off and still in the wrong section.

Sure it is, just look at the very pedestrian-friendly parking garages at the bases of each tower.

Did u see the post about how this is going to be the tallest block in the world? Try reading the previous page, might help you get an idea for the context. And we still aren't moved? I think I might toss out an idea of my own about a 1600ft tower in st. louis that's under the construction so us poor St. Louisans have something to talk about in this section of SSP!

Unremarkable for Dubai on this forum maybe. However, I don't think theres a way to ever make a 1000 footer unremarkable and no longer special in real life. I personally find 500 footers still remarkable and special . All in the eye of the beholder. That and we in America here still have plenty to look forward to, Dubai may be building FOR the future, but it is us who will be building IN the future. Think of it that way !

Thumbs up

In my opinion, this is the most attractive tower design in Dubai, if also elsewhere. It is really fantastic looking.

But But ! that would make no sense at all since we all know St.louis will never get a suprtall !
