Nation's 1st Housing for Morbidly Obese?

Here's a proposal you don't see every day. Big, big ideas here....

Did you see how much parking is a part of the proposal?? Far more than the # of units in it! I cant believe... ugh. They should give the people ADA accessible gardens so they can get out of their units and into nature or something. I mean, some parking makes sense, but 3 parking spaces per unit is ludicrous.

It's specialty housing, like an assisted living facility, or senior housing. Think of it as ADA on steroids. Unfortunately, there are people that need this type of housing to be somewhat self-sufficient. I suspect that there's a huge (no pun intended) market for this.

You think 700 pound people are going to be driving a car? I never said I was against the morbidly obese, but the parking in the project seems overkill.

Serious comment - They should have fewer parking spaces, but oversize them so they can more easily get in and out of their cars..

Somewhat serious comment - With grocery stores now offering home delivery, do they really need to go anywhere?

I guess this means the hallways and doors will be extra-wide. :-/

Well yeah.... wide doors, wide hallways, reinforced floors, huge bathrooms with industrial strength toilets and baths. It's pretty fascinating, actually.
