DETROIT Back to the homeland

Some photos I took from a weekend trip to Detroit. Scuse the grainy quality, I took them all on my phone and did what I could with them.

I'll follow up with a more detailed Ann Arbor thread from the previous day.

I couldn't remember if used to order the small or large falafel. Definitely was small cause this was a ton of food

Now to head home back to my apartment in Ann Arbor where I haven't lived for 3 years.

This thread shows that Detroit still has a level of beauty and urbanity that most cities can only wish for. Fantastic set!

I'd really love to see some of those Eastern Market buildings renovated in order to see their historic details "pop".

Man, Cass Park really needs to find some cash to start flowing in! The Harbor Light & Eddystone are due. I'm actually surprised, with all the talk about rental vacancies being so low in the greater downtown/Midtown, that these buildings aren't back to the speculation stage they were, back in say, 2004. I guess the national financing world is still recovering in order to even consider projects like that. There are a lot of assets around there that could really make Cass Park the next Brush Park...not to say Brush Park is booming or anything.

They look like scanned photographs from the Eighties or thereabouts. Enjoyed that, thanks!

Looks like the northern end of the Dequindre Cut Greenway.

Great photos, Hayward! Sorry I was out of town, looks like you spent a bit of time in my hood.

Now that the US is finally realizing how expensive gas can be, further improvement is expected in that respect.
Gas sometimes reminds me of this old movie that kinda traumatized me as a kid.

Wonderful shots in here! The 'grainy' or 'filtered' quality of the images gives it a vintage appearance in my opinion. Awesome work man.

If Apple ever had to make a case for the abilities of their camera, they should provide a link to this thread
