Kissimmee is probably best know for being near Disney World and located along Highway 192. But, the City of 60,000 on the southside of Orlando has a historic urban core that has come a long ways over the last decade or so. Main Street and its surrounding historic neighborhoods are coming alive with redevelopment. The City has also completed the beautiful Lakefront Park in the downtown area and the new Sunrail transit station opens later this year.

Nice pictures! I was in Kissimmee a few years ago, detouring on my way to Orlando for the airport after spending a weekend in Tampa. Kissimmee was a nice little city. It seemed a little small given the population indicated, but it was much more pleasant than the suburbia that I expected. I also happened to be there during a beautiful Florida sunset, which made the Spanish moss and old houses that much more quaint.
