NYC - Layers of Urban Fabric

I was bored after work today and decided to finally go through my photos from various trips to NYC from the last few years and pick out some photos to edit and share with everyone. I have a fondness for the layering effect that can be found in cities and juxtaposition of old and new to create an urban fabric. NYC inspires me in this manner and I've selected some photos representing these qualities to share here.

In no particular order, enjoy.

Love the variety of architecture styles in NYC. I have liked to see the details of so many buildings in your thread, jmicha. Great coverage of Manhattan!

Thanks for sharing.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

I don't post here often but figured I already formatted everything and just had to copy/past so might as well share with a wider audience.

Thanks for the kind words Danny and Eightball. There a million NYC threads that are fantastic (including the borough series by Streetscaper which I'm in love with) but wanted to try to bring something a little different to the table. I love street scenes but find people all too often ignore how the buildings interact with one another and terminate well above eye level.
