I believe at this point it has only applied for the height increase, once it is approved I'll update the title.

88 Scott has been approved at the Toronto-East York Council. Will be going into sales this spring.

Height : 205 meters!!

All they've changed are the setbacks at the top, but they were arguably the tower's best aesthetic features. I think it still looks fairly nice.

I liked the prior design, BUT is it me or is Toronto the only city I know of that can do 'Post Modern' RIGHT (well bottom portion anyway). It looks awesome, but not as much as before.

The bottom portion is already there. They are using the facade of a historic building as a base for the tower.

I still hate the random glass boxes. They have nothing to do with the post-modern program of the building.

Also, why did they ruin the crown? It seems developers in Toronto generally don't take aesthetics into consideration at all. Hell, they'd use aluminum siding if they could get away with it.

looks can be deceiving. especially in renders

but i'm really rooting for this one. i hope it pulls through

Not as good as the original, but I guess that's the compromise to get this thing built.
