Tinsel town

Why an arcade? I feel this cheapens the whole atmosphere. As for something to do, in this day and age what do we need provided. It's not about entertaining someone, god have a circus or buskers, maybe karaoke.
People can entertain themselves. People sit at home and watch TV, so put up a couple 60 inchers. Lots of comfy chairs for people to rest (those that had a long drive there and the incoming flight is delayed) have coffee available and maybe people could bring a book or pick up a newspaper.
I really liked the Wpg airport.
With free wireless, smartphones, iPads, and PSP/DSs. Most people are smart enough to kill some time maybe just veg have a pint and initiate a conversation with a stranger and practice a lost people skill.
The place looks really nice, looking forward to seeing it.
Sometime the bet option is one that we miss peace, quiet and relax. Stressless.

My wife really liked the big playground that was in the old terminal for the kidlets, did they do anything like that in the new one?

Wow, that takes me back. Still remember seeing those in YYC as a kid in the late 80's.

I remember those little TV's as a very small kid back then. I was interested to watch cartoons at the time, but my parents were like "LOLno."

There is construction (tower crane, foundation piles, etc.) immediately west of the new parkade - what is happening there?

where is the new play area for kids? All I've noticed is a little 4-way tunnel play thing-a-ma-jig that doesn't have any toys attached and is very likely to get filthy... thats on the arrivals level?

Is there something more elaborate?

Or maybe they haven't installed it yet?

They'll have to eat donuts, I guess.

There are two play areas on the domestic/international side, and there's one on the US side.
