There is a community forum or public open house going on this evening for the Oakridge project which leads me to believe they are trying to move forward with it. So hopefully more than an idle proposal of pretty pictures.

Did the effort help bring this thread back in shape? Maybe I can take credit for that hehe.
Or else more Clockzilla memes please O-Tac!
As you wish.

That is the worst building in the world when you consider the full context. Saudi Arabia sure knows how to get on the top of a good number of lists (for the wrong reasons). That building massing looks like Jabba the Hutt from many vantage points - it is a huge wall from the ground. Impenetrable for a multitude of reasons.

Many of those are ugly, but for a list of the 25 ugliest in the world, they picked some that aren't bad, or are even pretty cool.

I would be happy to see any of these get built in Calgary

Agreed. Vantage and Live on Park aren't great, but this is real ugly, Calgary's ugliest.

I've seen much uglier than those 4. I'm surprised Torre Agbar was on that list. I love that building.

Really, you wouldn't go with the Torre from Barcelona? I love the simplicity of it, and the stainless steel material. The colors could go, but outside of that, it's major cool.

That last building falls under the 'it's so ugly, it's cool category' The general shape is wonderful.
