Now that's an American city with some fight in it. Most excellent.

Killed it. Without having been there in over a decade, it's always been tough to understand exactly where today's Detroit stands. This thread, I'm guessing, does a good job of illustrating just that.

Tigers won! Wanted to check more of Movement out, but the price tag was outrageous!

Thanks for supportive commentary so far!

If Detroit got any cooler, we'd all have to wear earmuffs in the summertime.

Great pics!

Just remembering yesteryear of sipping Margaritas at the Ren center, Greektown, the People mover, and seeing Billy Joel at the Palace..Too bad I lost contact with my friend from Windsor...Enjoyed the couple of times I visited and took a tour through Detroit with him as my tour guide...Anyways, great pics of a great city. Cheers to it's come back.

This has to be one of my favorite skyline shot looking from the south, SE or SW, i love how well balanced it looks.

Although speaking of downtown from the SW here's another gem, is this from Riverside Park?

Hi and thanks again!

@Docta_Love - the first picture is from the SE (namely from the Douglas MacArthur Bridge heading to Belle Isle... I agree the skyline looks much more balanced from that angle.

the second is from the new West Riverfront park immediately west of Riverfront Apartments on West Jefferson at sunrise.Really cool view that was formerly not accessible!
