Really nice HIMS. Halifax looks like such a beautiful place. Really crisp quality with good color tones and what not (not processed, but they seemed to just come out just right). Some interesting angles, too! Well done .

Is 'Sam The Record Man' in Hfx still open? I noticed the Younge street one had closed last time I was there.

Well that was entertaining. Hard to believe it's been 35 years since I visited Halifax.

This thread is a Yabba Dabba Doozie

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Thanks HIMS.

Nice shots!

I didn't realize they had both a Cow's and a Sam the Record Man there.

Always nice to see photos of Halifax, a city I spent a great number of years. I miss the salt air, and maritime culture. It's a charming old city.

Small, so that I can still show a lot of images and the thread will still load in a reasonable amount of time.

If anyone wants to view more Halifax (and some Peggy's Cove touristy stuff) they can go to the flickr set here where you can also get larger versions or just slideshow the whole mess.

Thanks for the comments everyone and thanks for clicking on the thread. I do appreciate the time people take to view stuff.

Beautiful photos. I really enjoyed my stay in Halifax years ago and took many photographs from the same vantage points as you show here (and on your Flickr set). I fell in love with the city and hope to return some day.
I still occasionally wear my Alexander Keith's t-shirt that I pick up at the brewery there. It still looks pretty new for being over 15 years old.

Sam's closed some years ago. It was a sad day.
