making moves in midtown cleveland at euclid ave & e36st, site of the enormous grand old masonic temple auditorium. i believe dream hotel group has been kind of teaming up around grand old masonic halls, so this is another.
designed by a local firm and funded by the new masonic auditorium owner, its supposed to get started next year and finish in 2022.
btw - the old mason auditorium was built in in stages in 1918, 1920 and 1948. it is 9 stories, has 102k sq ft and holds 2500 people for events. temple live, from ft. smith, arkansas is now running events there.
Dream Hotel Group announces plans to complete 207-room hotel at Masonic Temple by 2022

CLEVELAND, Ohio — New York-based Dream Hotel Group announced Wednesday it plans in 2022 to open the 19-story, 207-room Dream Cleveland lifestyle hotel atop the southern portion of historic Masonic Temple at Euclid Avenue and East 36th St.
The hotel will feature guest rooms and suites, plus multiple dining and nightlife venues, a fitness center, and 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
All those elements, plus a 400-space garage, will be added to the 2,300-seat theater in Masonic Temple, operated by TempleLive, an affiliate of Arkansas-based Beaty Capital Group, Inc., which bought the complex in 2017 for $725,000.
A spokesperson for Dream Hotel Group said the project represents a $60 million investment.
