Vancouver - Eastern False Creek Area

Vancouver is the 8th largest city in Canada by population (630,000) and is the largest city of the Greater Vancouver Census Metropolitan Area in British Columbia (containing 2,460,000, the 3rd largest in Canada).

This thread will focus on False Creek, specifically the Eastern end of it in a clockwise direction from where downtown's Yaletown area ends, proceeding to the Science World area and then the Olympic Village area.

The area surrounding BC Place and Rogers Arena, two stadiums on the edge of downtown, includes several highrise residential clusters:

Science World is a museum at the far Eastern end of False Creek:

Across the street from Science World is another cluster of highrises, one of which houses the Main Street/Science World Station of the SkyTrain system. Nearby is the Pacific Central Station for long distance train and bus services:

The Olympic Village was created as the housing cluster for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, and continues to expand with more midrise and highrise residential projects:

Another growing strip of midrise and highrise residential buildings is a block removed from the Olympic Village and the waterfront:

nice coverage of the area. I like to go down to the olympic village area, the public spaces are a great place to hang out.

These two shots of a smaller residential building are from the stretch of Cambie Street near False Creek, nowhere else to put them so I will include them here.
