I couldn't leave the Duluth area without checking out Superior first. I barely had any time left before getting to my next stop later on in the evening, so like Duluth, I spent very little time here. I mainly got to downtown and the few blocks surrounding it. At 27,000. Superior has been steadily dropping since it's peak of 40,000 around 1910.

Well, I wasn't expecting this. Obviously no traffic down the main street. I guess they decided to tear it all up and start over. That said, there were businesses that were open. I would say the downtown was about 60-70% occupied

Nice pictures. Superior is a little grittier than I imagined, but then I guess I should've expected it, based on how Duluth looks.

The torn up street certainly didn't add any appeal to the downtown area. That said, the first building kind of frightened me, but most of the others looked OK. Not sure if I've ever seen a Superior tour before. Thanks for the pics kc.

Frankly...Superior is kinda a pit Glad to see they are rebuilding the main street...hopefully it will include some streetscaping, it has always felt very harsh and unwelcoming.
