Looks like the core has topped out.

I really like the combination of glass and black panels. This is a great design deserving better neighbor that BIGs boxy atrocity.

The cladding on this is just glorious.

4WTC tenants probably hate the fact they've pretty much completely lost the Midtown view.

No worries, Group M will get their payback once 2WTC gets off the ground.

But they have a great view of Lady Liberty to remind them that they are in NYC, with a six figure salary and that they are part of a small minority of people who have a really good life. Although Sarah Palin has apparently super vision, and so, she could probably see the car bomb flash in Iraq from up there.

It appears that the core has surpassed the roof on 4WTC.

I was at the WTC on Friday, and made sure to pay attention to the quality of the cladding on 3WTC. It's safe to say that it looks fantastic - high quality and classy. Even if we have lost out on the spires, I think 3WTC will turn out to be a winner.

Why did it lose out on the spires again?

. . "Even if we have lost out on the spires, . .
I think 3WTC will turn out to be a winner." - Submariner

. . Oh, how I wish I could say the same . .
As long as I live, I'll know that this building, . .
was designed as a Great icon . .
It . . should-a - would-a - could-a . . been utterly GREAT !!! . .
Maybe after Larry's dead, . . somebody could still add
our beloved substantial 4 spired crown . .

On the East & West facades, . .
we lost the center X-bracing . . to the vertical zig-zag side trusses . .
not such a bad trade off . . I've grown to like them as much . .
they're absolutely indispensable . .

But, with a very tall tower . . with a few exceptions, of course, . .
the building's Crown is the sovereign design-element . .
and in NO way is this tower's crown, . .
in ANY way, shape, or form . . whatsoever . .
a "winner" . .
