MINNEAPOLIS | 1368 LaSalle apartments | 114 m / 376 ft | 35 floors

This is really the first legitimate high rise proposal in Minneapolis since the market turned sour a few years ago. Not sure of the official name yet. It sounds like the developer(Magellan Development out of Chicago) hopes to break ground within 6 months. There are lots of apartment projects right now in Minneapolis, this is the first high rise proposal of the current crop though. There is also a Whole Foods slated to break ground this fall, along with a local grocer on the other side of downtown...hopefully those amenities will attract more development downtown.

Not bad! It bears some resemblance to the Omni Hotel tower in Fort Worth, which is a good thing, IMO.

Since we have a new tower proposal in Minneapolis, I thought I would give this one a quick bump for comparison. The scale of the projects are about the same, they are on opposite ends of downtown. I prefer this tower...as I am sure most would

Very cool! Would be nice to get some more projects going, and hopefully spur some more development as a result.

According to the plans posted on the CPED website, this is actually 37 stories and 373' 10" at the roof.

If a mod could change the thread title, that would be great!
